Simple Visualizations for Inner Peace
Do Three Deep Breaths first.
Three Deep Breaths – Centering, relaxing, energizing
1. Sit or stand straight, feet flat on the floor/ground, or in your meditating position
2. You will be taking three depth breaths, breathing deeply to inflate the upper and lower chest and the abdomen.
3. With each in breath take in new energized air to revitalize your body
4. With each out breath send out old unwanted feelings, thoughts, illness etc.
5. Breathe in and out through your nose in long slow breaths. Try closing down the back of the throat a little so that the sound is like ocean waves. Make the breaths even so as not to hyperventilate.
6. Sit or stand quietly for a few moments when done.
Aligning Yourself Between Heaven and Earth - Coming into balance in the unique space your body occupies between Heaven and Earth to be present now
Grounding to Mother Earth and Connecting to the Divine
1. Sit or stand straight with your feet on the floor/ground.
2. Take three deep breaths (Described above).
3. Imagine a root, rope, or tail coming from out of your feet or your base chakra
4. Going down into the earth, past the warm moist soil
5. Through the small rocks and layers
6. Down to the center of the earth
7. There is something floating there, i.e. a huge tree trunk, a crystal, a steel beam
8. Wrap your rope around this object
9. Sense your connection to the center of the earth
10. Bring your awareness back up and up through the layers of the earth
11. And into your body, bringing earth energy with it
12. Allow some of the earth energy to recharge you
13. Feel grounded, ready to deal with life.
14. Remember and reach for earth energy whenever you need it
Continue on to connect with the cosmos and the divine.
15. Bring this new energy up and up through the chakras and out through the top of your head, the crown chakra. 16. Allow the energy to rise up to the divine and out into the cosmos. 17. Charge it with divine love and light and then 18. Allow this divine energy to shower back upon you 19. Falling as if it is golden glitter. 20. Absorb what you need of this golden light 21. Feel it charging all of your energy centers 22. When you are ready, take a deep breath and open your eyes.
Finding Your Special Place – Your place to relax, become calm, meditate, ask for guidance
1. Sit or stand straight.
2. Take three deep breaths
3. Imagine a place that is special to you where you would go for peace and solace, someplace you have been before or create a new place.
4. When you get there, look around you, make it feel real.
5. What do your five senses tell you? Do you smell its special blend of odors? What time of year is it? Is it indoors or out? What’s the weather like? What time of day is it?
6. Relax there for a while. Just breathe, nice and slow. Just enjoy.
7. You may slowly bring your awareness back to your body or
8. This is a place where you can get in touch with your guardians, your subconscious, or the great subconscious pool of the human collective wisdom. It is like visiting the center of your being.
9. Ask a question. Wait for the answer. Be prepared for the many ways it may come: hearing, knowing, touching, smell, taste. It may not come right away, you may have to wait a few days after the meditation. Listen for it.
10. You can also ask for a guide to make itself known to you. Ask if it is of the light and wants only your highest good. If not thank it and dismiss it. Ask for a guide from the light and sent for your highest good. Ask its name and what it has to tell you, how long will it stay with you. What does it look like?
11. You can ask for a gift or an animal guide. Look at it carefully; remember it when you return your awareness to your body. Take time in the next few days to discover its meaning for you.
12. Slowly bring your awareness back to your body. You may want to write down immediately what you saw and learned during your inner journey.
