Anita was born and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Washington University there and received a bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a teaching certificate. Within the art school she majored in graphic design. She moved to Colorado and has lived in Boulder and Loveland for over half her life.
She is married and has two adult children. The family is completed by two white cats, a dog, and two horses. They live just behind the first foothill in southwest Loveland, Colorado.
Anita had always been interested in learning new things and exploring many subjects. She considers herself a lifelong learner. She has spent time recently looking within to find what she wants to be “when she grows up”.
She has been exploring her potential to help herself and others on life’s journey. Anita decided to become a Reiki practitioner after a wonderful experience with energy work in 2004, and things just expanded from there. She has taken many classes, over 600 hours worth, and met wonderful people during her explorations. She feels more aware of her inner energies, more compassionate, and empowered by increasing skills and self confidence.
Anita loves people! She enjoys the uniqueness of each individual and how they all look and act differently. What were they like when they were younger, what will they do as they get older? She likes to interact with them. Volunteering with various organizations, which she has been doing since she was a teenager, has been an important part of her life.
She likes to read science fiction, fantasy, and mystery books. She also spends time reading books on various holistic and metaphysical topics to find key points. She sees all these sources of knowledge coming together to support her own unique practice. Anita is an artist, likes to create in many mediums, and loves taking classes to stimulate her creativity.
She likes to be outside in nature as often as possible. She and her husband have been able to spend the past three summers camping in Alaska and here in the west. Her fascination with nature has urged her to learn to work with crystals, herbs, essential oils, and nature centered healing. Her love of animals has made her curious about their lives and messages.
Anita feels fortunate to be able to provide energy work of various modalities for people to use while creating their own inner harmony and holistic healing. She believes that if we develop our human potential we can have an exceptional quality of life – mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
